Well, I'm not good at this stuff, so I'll just get right to it. I'm 5 foot 8 inches tall, weigh in at 160 lbs, have dark brown hair and light hazel eyes that change color with my mood. I was born in Sussex on a dairy farm, joined the Army when I was 22, and now work as a Govt contractor.

I like to do alot of outdoorsy stuff. Fishing, hunting, hiking, boating, camping and anything else that keeps me outside. I'm pretty much an open book as far as my personality goes. I'm brutally honest, maybe that's a fault. I tend to speak my mind, but almost always appropriately.

I've been volunteering on the weekends at a theraputic riding center for the past 9 years. I like working with horses and kids and this is a great way to do both and make a difference in someone's life at the same time.

I have a Master's in law enforcement technology. I went to school while I was in the service in between deployments, and sometimes during them. I've always wanted to go back to get a degree in history of some type. I've always been interested in all forms of history. Pretty much, if it happened "back in the day", it interests me.

I'm looking for someone who has a mind of her own. Someone who can carry on an intelligent conversation and has some idea of what's happening in the world around her. I would love to continue to travel someday and would like to find someone who is interested in traveling and seeing the world. I take good care of myself through excersize and personal hygene and need someone who does the same. I hope this doesn't make me sound shallow.

I tend to be pretty shy around people I don't know in social situations. I sometimes trip over my words and come off as a total moron, but that's not really me. Once I get to know people, I totally open up. I seem to have a hard time composing e-mail messages to people I don't know as well. I never know how to begin an e-mail or what to say to a girl I'd like to get to know better. It's a stupid problem to have because I know there are great people on this site, I just don't know how to talk to them.
